Gentex Cuts Deal With Rival Over Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (October 28, 2011, 1:24 PM ET) -- Defense contractor Gentex Corp. on Thursday tentatively settled a suit claiming that rival Armor Holdings Inc. benefited from stolen trade secrets covering military combat helmets and vests, days after a judge entered default judgment against two ex-Gentex employees targeted in the suit.

A Pennsylvania federal judge tossed the lawsuit along with a related complaint naming one of the ex-employees as a defendant, but reserved the right to reinstate the lawsuits if the confidential settlement was not fully consummated within 45 days of the order.
