Crocs Rival Seeks To Squash Shoe Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 28, 2011, 2:05 PM EDT) -- Footwear manufacturer Shoes For Crews LLC on Thursday asked a Florida federal court to declare that its clogs do not infringe two Crocs Inc. patents for breathable footwear and argued that one of the patents is not valid.

Shoes For Crews filed a complaint saying that Crocs recently accused its Froggz shoe line of infringing the two patents, and threatened the company with legal action. But the company insists that its shoes do not violate Crocs' intellectual property.
