Law360, New York (January 01, 2012, 12:00 AM ET) -- The presidential race and ongoing deadlock in Congress will almost certainly prevent the passage of any broad new energy laws or rules on par with those adopted in the past three years, but attorneys say they’ll be watching for policy developments in the renewables sector, natural gas drilling, and other areas.
The year could see action on long-awaited moves toward approving more nuclear plans, and efforts to boost exports of liquid natural gas could also come into play.
