DVD Streaming Co. Settles Movie Studios' IP Suit For $2M

Law360, New York (October 28, 2011, 5:57 PM ET) -- The operators of DVD-streaming service Zediva have agreed to pay six major movie studios $1.8 million and stop showing the studios' movies without permission to settle a California copyright infringement suit, the Motion Picture Association of America said Friday.

U.S. District Judge John F. Walter signed off on a permanent injunction against WTV Systems LLC, which operates as Zediva, WTV Systems Inc. and Zediva founder and CEO Venkatesh Srinivasan on Friday.
