Law360, New York (October 31, 2011, 7:01 PM ET) -- Patent-holding company PJC Logistics LLC hit Hyundai Kia Automotive Group divisions Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motor America Inc. with two separate but nearly identical suits Friday claiming the automakers infringed its vehicle tracking patent.
The Hewitt, Texas-based PJC allege in California federal court that both Hyundai and Kia knowingly and intentionally manufactured and sold vehicle tracking and monitoring systems that infringe its car tracking system, according to the complaints.
At issue is U.S. Patent Number 5,223,844, entitled “Vehicle Tracking and Security System.”
