Cisco, HP, Others Caught In Communications Patent Suit

Law360, New York (November 01, 2011, 2:27 PM ET) -- Patent holding company ChriMar Systems Inc. sued Cisco Systems Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co. and others in Delaware federal court on Monday, alleging the companies are infringing its patent for electronic communications technology.

ChriMar, which does business as CMS Technologies and ChriMar Holding Company LLC also names now-defunct HP division 3Com Corp., telecommunications company Avaya Inc., Cisco divisions Cisco Consumer Products LLC and Cisco-Linksys LLC, and telecommunications hardware maker Extreme Networks Inc. as defendants.
