Hormel Settles Spam Trademark Suit

Law360, New York (November 01, 2011, 4:07 PM ET) -- Hormel Foods Corp. on Tuesday settled claims in Minnesota against rival Zwanenberg Food Group Inc. for allegedly infringing Hormel's trademarks on Spam, the iconic canned meat.

U.S. District Judge David S. Doty dismissed the suit Tuesday following the parties' joint stipulation for dismissal. No other information about the settlement was available, and attorneys for the parties declined to comment on the deal.
