SunPower To Shut Down Solar Plant In Enviro Settlement

Law360, New York (November 02, 2011, 8:26 PM ET) -- Solar company SunPower Corp. will shut down the California Valley Solar Ranch — a 250-megawatt power plant guaranteed by a $1.2 billion federal loan — in no more than 50 years in order to settle a suit brought by two California community groups, the company said Wednesday.
