Obama Questions Chinese Green Tech Trade Practices

Law360, New York (November 02, 2011, 7:01 PM ET) -- U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday expressed concern over “questionable competitive practices coming out of China" in the clean-energy space in response to a question about a bid by domestic solar panel makers to have duties imposed on Chinese imports.

The coalition of U.S. solar panel makers, which includes Oregon-based SolarWorld Industries America Inc. and six other companies, asked the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission in October to formally find that China was dumping and illegally subsidizing its solar products....
