Law360, Los Angeles (November 07, 2011, 2:52 PM ET) -- DLA Piper has brought on a transactions expert from Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP for its intellectual property and corporate groups, continuing to expand its San Diego offices, the firm announced Wednesday.

Beni Surpin, who joins DLA Piper as a partner, brings experience represent companies in the wireless, telecommunications, life sciences,  aviation, automotive and high-tech industries among others, on legal and business issues related to intellectual property, technology acquisitions and commercial transactions, the firm said.
