Law360, New York (November 03, 2011, 9:26 PM ET) -- The Eleventh Circuit on Thursday affirmed a district court's dismissal of a suit accusing The Coca-Cola Co. of infringing a copyright on a composer's translation of a song used in promotions for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
In an unpublished, per curiam opinion, the appeals court upheld a Florida federal court's ruling that Rafael Vergara Hermosilla had sold his claims to the copyright for "Wavin' Flag (Coca-Cola Spanish Celebration Mix)."
