Media, Software Groups Call For Stronger Copyright Laws

Law360, New York (November 4, 2011, 5:07 PM EDT) -- A collection of media and software interest groups pushed for stronger copyright protections Wednesday in a new report released on the heels of legislation intoduced in the House aimed at fighting online piracy.

The International Intellectual Property Alliance's 2011 study shows that the film, television, publishing, music and software industries contributed more than $930 billion to the U.S. economy in 2010 and accounted for almost 5 percent of the private workforce last year.
