AT&T, T-Mobile Deal Faces Potential Delay As Fight Rages

Law360, New York (November 04, 2011, 5:06 PM ET) -- AT&T Inc. on Thursday expanded the timeline for its planned $39 billion purchase of T-Mobile USA Inc. by three months while it battles antitrust suits from the U.S. government and rivals Sprint Nextel Corp. and C Spire Wireless Inc.

In a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing, AT&T said that pending regulatory approval, it expected to close the deal by June. It first announced the planned takeover of the Deutsche Telekom AG unit in March, saying it expected to close the deal within a year....
