Federal Circuit Rules For Fuji In Dispute Over Disposable Camera Patents

Law360, New York (January 14, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A New Jersey company that rebuilds used Fuji Photo Film Co. disposable cameras and sells them without brand names at a discount is infringing Fuji’s patent rights, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has affirmed.

The appeals court upheld a decision by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in from 2003 against Jazz Photo Corp., Jazz Photo Ltd., and Jack Benun, a former Jazz director and consultant.
