Pfizer, Aurobindo Reach Accord In Lipitor Patent Case

Law360, New York (November 07, 2011, 8:34 PM ET) -- Pfizer Inc. and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. reached a settlement agreement Monday that wraps up a patent infringement case Pfizer brought over Aurobindo's efforts to horn in on the market for its blockbuster cholesterol drug Lipitor.

The parties filed a joint motion to dismiss in Delaware federal court, saying they had entered into the agreement on Nov. 2 and asked U.S. District Judge Leonard P. Stark to dismiss all claims and counterclaims.

“This dismissal shall not act as an adjudication on the merits,” the motion said....
