Toshiba Fails To Escape LCD Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, New York (November 08, 2011, 1:27 PM ET) -- A California federal judge refused Monday to let Toshiba Corp. out of a multidistrict price-fixing litigation over liquid crystal display panels, rejecting the company's claims that there was no evidence tying the electronics maker and several subsidiaries to the alleged plot.

Even though Toshiba argued that it was "unique among the defendants in the case" because it had never sought leniency or been charged with or pled guilty to price-fixing over the cartel, U.S. District Judge Susan Illston ruled that the plaintiffs had plenty of evidence...
