BP, Others Want Gov't Reports Cut From Deepwater MDL

Law360, New York (November 08, 2011, 5:44 PM ET) -- BP PLC, Transocean Ltd. and two other companies asked a Louisiana federal judge Monday to exclude a slew of government reports on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill as evidence in the upcoming liability trial in a multidistrict litigation over the disaster.

BP, Transocean, Halliburton Energy Services Inc. and Cameron International Corp. argue that the reports, which include investigations by the U.S. Department of the Interior and a presidential commission, were inadmissible under federal evidentiary rules.
