US Ready To Try $39B AT&T, T-Mobile Challenge: Holder

Law360, New York (November 8, 2011, 7:04 PM EST) -- Attorney General Eric Holder on Tuesday told lawmakers the Department of Justice is fully prepared to take its antitrust challenge to AT&T Inc.'s planned $39 billion acquisition of rival T-Mobile USA Inc. all the way to trial.

At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday, Holder said that the Antitrust Division is committed to "seeing this through," in response to concerns raised by Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis.
