Law360, New York (November 08, 2011, 6:47 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior on Tuesday unveiled a new five-year offshore oil and gas leasing program that proposes 15 lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico and the Alaskan Arctic by 2017.
The department plans to put 12 leases up for sale in the Gulf of Mexico and three off the coast of Alaska, all in offshore areas with currently active leases or high potential for oil and gas reserves.
