Ex-‘Spidey’ Director Slings Copyright Suit At Producers

Law360, New York (November 8, 2011, 7:48 PM EST) -- The former director of “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” on Tuesday filed a copyright infringement and breach of contract suit against the musical’s producers, claiming they continued to use her creative contributions without compensation or royalty payments after she left the show.

Julie Taymor filed a suit in New York federal court against the show’s production companies, 8 Legged Productions LLC, Hello Entertainment LLC, Goodbye Entertainment LLC, Savior Productions LLC, current lead producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah Harris, and co-book author Glen Berger.
