ITC Staff Says Rambus Patents Should Be Invalidated

Law360, New York (November 09, 2011, 6:53 PM ET) -- Members of the U.S. International Trade Commission's investigative staff recommended Tuesday that five memory controller patents Rambus Inc. is asserting against Broadcom Corp. and other semiconductor makers be found invalid.

The recommendations were among the proposed conclusions of law the staff submitted to the administrative law judge weighing Rambus' claims that Broadcom, LSI Corp., Nvidia Corp. and a slew of others have imported personal computers, Blu-ray disc players and other items that infringe its memory controller patents.
