WMS, Bally Settle Slot Machine Display Patent Suit

Law360, New York (November 09, 2011, 7:17 PM ET) -- WMS Industries Inc. on Wednesday settled its patent infringement claims in Illinois against Bally Technologies Inc. over transmissive reels technology, which relates to superimposing video content over a mechanical reel slot machine.

The settlement includes a licensing agreement that will allow Bally access to transmissive reels gaming technology from WMS and Aruze Gaming America Inc. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
