Dow Scientist Gets 7 Years For Trade Secret Theft

Law360, New York (December 21, 2011, 7:32 PM ET) -- A Dow AgroSciences LLC researcher who admitted to stealing up to $20 million worth of agricultural research trade secrets and sending them to China and Germany was sentenced Wednesday to more than seven years in prison.

Kexue Huang, a Chinese national who worked at Dow's Indianapolis research facility, illegally shared his research on certain unique strains of organic insecticides with scientists in China and Germany, according to his October plea agreement.
