Microsoft Wants Visto Claims Tossed

Law360, New York (July 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. has asked a district court to throw out several infringement claims made by mobile e-mail software maker Visto Corp. regarding patents for synchronizing data between servers and mobile devices.

In four motions for summary judgment filed this week, Microsoft claims that Redwood City, Calif.-based Visto overstepped its bounds on several claims, including damages sought and patents asserted.
