Samsung Boosts Medical Market Presence With Nexus Buy

Law360, New York (November 15, 2011, 12:41 PM EST) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. took its second significant step into the market for medical equipment on Tuesday, purchasing diagnostics company Nexus Dx Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

The deal moves the South Korean consumer electronics company closer to fulfilling its goal of spending about $1.1 billion over the next 10 years on medical device operations.
