BBC Worldwide Appoints First General Counsel

Law360, New York (November 15, 2011, 6:48 PM EST) -- BBC Worldwide Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the British Broadcasting Corp., on Thursday named Martyn Freeman, head of the company's legal and business affairs group, as its first general counsel.

In his new role, Freeman will be responsible for business, policy and regulatory matters, including transaction and joint venture negotiation, rights and deals management, crisis management, compliance, risk management and talent accounting.
