Neb. Votes To Advance Bill To Reroute Keystone Pipeline

Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 4:51 PM EST) -- Nebraska lawmakers voted unanimously Wednesday to advance a bill that would allow TransCanada Corp.'s $7 billion Keystone XL pipeline to be rerouted to avoid the environmentally sensitive Sand Hills region of the state.

The 45-0 vote paves the way for two more rounds of debate slated for Friday and Tuesday and two additional votes, a requirement in the Nebraska Legislature, which has only one chamber.
