NLRB Judge OKs Washington Post Meal Break Rule

Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 8:10 PM EST) -- The parent company of the Washington Post did not unfairly implement a new policy requiring employees to work through lunch breaks, a National Labor Relations Board administrative law judge held Tuesday in a suit brought by the newspaper’s unions.

Administrative Law Judge Bruce D. Rosenstein recommended the NLRB dismiss the case brought by the Washington Mailers’ Union No. 29 and the Printing, Publishing, and Media Workers Sector of the Communication Workers of America against newspaper owner WP Co. LLC.
