Schwab Aims To Keep Clients In SunTrust Secrets Row

Law360, New York (November 17, 2011, 7:27 PM ET) -- Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. on Thursday asked a Florida federal court for a temporary restraining order barring two former employees and a unit of SunTrust Banks Inc. from soliciting Schwab clients using customer data the employees allegedly misappropriated before leaving for SunTrust.

The financial services giant accused Florida residents Christopher Haffey and Lance Longwater, who were financial consultants with Schwab until leaving for SunTrust on Nov. 4, of misappropriating confidential client data and soliciting clients to switch to SunTrust before they left Schwab.
