Tootsie Roll Says Footzyroll Shoes Are No Treat

Law360, New York (November 17, 2011, 3:28 PM ET) -- Candy manufacturer Tootsie Roll Industries Inc. hit the company behind the new craze of Footzyrolls compact shoes with a trademark infringement suit Wednesday in Illinois federal court, alleging the Footzyrolls brand name diluted Tootsie Roll’s trademarks.

Tootsie Roll alleges Rollashoe LLC’s Footzyrolls, which are marketed as the “functional, fashionable, rollable, foldable compact shoes,” infringe and dilute over a dozen trademarks related to the Tootsie Roll brand.
