Charges Pile Up For Ex-Detroit Mayor's Cohort

Law360, New York (November 17, 2011, 5:22 PM ET) -- A demolition contractor and longtime friend of ousted Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was targeted Thursday with new money laundering charges for allegedly using bribes and his connection to Kilpatrick to win business.

In a superseding indictment filed in Michigan federal court, demolition company owner Bobby Ferguson was hit with seven new money laundering counts in addition to the charges already made against him, including racketeering, extortion, fraud and witness intimidation.
