Law360, New York (November 17, 2011, 10:39 PM ET) -- A Texas federal judge on Thursday greenlighted a settlement in a suit patent holding company SimpleAir Inc. brought against ESPN Enterprises Inc., Disney Online and ABC Inc., accusing them of violating patents for network messaging technology.
U.S. District Judge Michael H. Schneider granted the parties’ joint motion to dismiss the suit on the basis of their settlement and license agreement, dismissing SimpleAir's claims related to the licensed product with prejudice but dismissing its claims to all other products, services and systems without prejudice.
