NY Court Keeps $42M Pryor Cashman Malpractice Suit Alive

Law360, New York (November 18, 2011, 1:50 PM EST) -- A New York appeals court refused Thursday to toss a legal malpractice case alleging Pryor Cashman LLP didn't do enough to stop a $42 million fraud at a construction union's benefit funds.

The trustees of Construction Workers Local 147 alleged that Pryor Cashman and firm partner Christopher J. Sues failed to give legal advice that would have stopped third-party administrator King Care LLC from allegedly looting $42 million from the funds.
