China Kicks Off Dumping Probe Into US, EU Solvents

Law360, New York (November 18, 2011, 3:37 PM EST) -- China’s Ministry of Commerce launched a probe Friday into whether U.S. and European Union manufacturers of two chemicals commonly used in varnishes and paint solvents are dumping the products on the Chinese market.

The ministry said the investigation had been sparked by an Oct. 8 complaint from Dana (Nanjing) Chemical Industry Co. Ltd. on behalf of domestic producers of ethylene glycol monobutyl ether and diethylene glycol monobutyl ether.
