MTV Snookered Real ‘Jersey Shore’ Creator: Suit

Law360, New York (November 21, 2011, 7:41 PM ET) -- MTV Networks Enterprises Inc. was hit with a breach of contract suit earlier this month by a California man claiming the cable network stole his idea for the hit reality television show “Jersey Shore.”

In a suit filed Nov. 3 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Bruce Hulse claimed he created and pitched to MTV and unnamed defendants his concept for “Jersey Shore,” which the network used without proper authorization or compensation.
