Siemens Targeted Over Medical Scan Patent

Law360, New York (November 22, 2011, 1:03 PM ET) -- A University of Wisconsin-Madison group sued Siemens AG on Monday, alleging infringement of a patent for magnetic resonance angiogram scan technology

The university’s patent management organization, the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, filed the complaint in Wisconsin federal court, targeting Siemens and its subsidiary Siemens Medical Solutions USA Inc. The suit alleges Siemens produces, markets and sells a MRA scanner that infringes a university-held patent.
