FDA Clamps Down On Maker Of Mislabeled Supplements

Law360, New York (November 23, 2011, 7:41 PM EST) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday barred dietary supplement maker ATF Fitness Products Inc. from making and distributing more than 400 products for improperly substituting ingredients and mislabeling its supplements.

Acting on behalf of the FDA, the U.S. Department of Justice filed a permanent injunction against ATF in Pennsylvania federal court, preventing it from manufacturing and distributing products the agency claims violate the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act because of ATF's failure to comply with good manufacturing practice regulations, according to the FDA....
