Global Warming Bill Becomes Law

Law360, New York (July 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New Jersey Gov. Jon S. Corzine signed a bill Friday that will make the Garden State the third state in the nation to set greenhouse gas reduction goals.

The legislation, known as the Global Warming Response Act, calls for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in New Jersey to 1990 levels by 2020, a 20% reduction. It also calls for reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 80% below 2006 levels by 2050.
