Oracle Can't Strike Google's Damages Experts' Reports

Law360, New York (November 28, 2011, 7:03 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Monday denied Oracle America Inc.'s bid to strike Google Inc.'s potential damages experts' reports in Oracle's patent and copyright suit against the Internet giant over its Android operating system.

U.S. District Judge William Alsup denied most of Oracle's request to strike portions of the reports proffered by Google's experts, which estimated potential damages of $34 million, far lower than the $1.4 billion to $6.1 billion range estimated by Oracle's experts.
