Southern Montana Ch. 11 Trustee Named Amid Squabbles

Law360, New York (November 30, 2011, 5:22 PM EST) -- A Montana bankruptcy judge on Tuesday appointed a trustee to oversee the bankruptcy of Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative amid board member squabbles over the source of power distributor's financial problems.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Ralph B. Kirscher approved the selection of Lee A Freeman Jr. as the trustee overseeing the Southerm Montana, which provides power to a Montana city and five rural electric cooperatives, to help work out disputes.
