Bribery Charges Land NY Assemblyman In Hot Water Again

Law360, New York (November 29, 2011, 5:28 PM EST) -- New York state Assemblyman William Boyland Jr. was arrested Tuesday and charged with with soliciting more than $250,000 in bribes, just weeks after a jury found him not guilty of taking bribes from the CEO of MediSys Health Network.

Prosecutors claim the Brooklyn Democrat took part in a number of schemes in which he sought or accepted thousands of dollars in bribes in exchange for favorable government treatment, some after his previous arrest on bribery charges in March.
