$750M PSE&G Transmission Line Faces Court Fight

Law360, New York (November 29, 2011, 7:18 PM EST) -- The Sierra Club and others have asked a New Jersey appeals court to force the state’s utility board to reconsider what they call an unnecessary $750 million transmission line proposed by Public Service Electric & Gas, attorneys for the groups said Tuesday.

The citizens groups seek an order compelling the New Jersey Board of Utilities to re-examine the planned 45-mile Susquehanna-Roseland transmission line, arguing that the state no longer needs it due to a decline in energy demand and other factors.
