Ex-Peruvian Airline Exec Cops To Price-Fixing Scheme

Law360, New York (November 30, 2011, 8:46 PM ET) -- A former Peruvian airline executive on Wednesday in Florida federal court pled guilty to participating in a price-fixing conspiracy that raised fuel surcharges on cargo shipments from the U.S. to Central and South America in the wake of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

George Gonzalez, 51, the former chief commercial officer at Cielos Airlines, pled guilty to one count of price-fixing in violation of the Sherman Act, according to the Department of Justice.
