Sikorsky's $79M Suit Over Alleged Overbilling Moves On

Law360, New York (December 1, 2011, 5:54 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Wednesday denied three motions by the U.S. in a dispute over $79 million in alleged overpayments to Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., allowing the contractor to try to prove the payments were appropriately billed as indirect overhead costs related to work done for the government.

The U.S. government entered a final judgment against Sikorsky in 2008, demanding that the contractor return $64 million allegedly overbilled on contracts to provide aircraft and aircraft spare parts between 2003 and 2006, along with $15 million in interest....
