Law360, New York (December 01, 2011, 3:27 PM ET) -- The Carlyle Group LP portfolio company Marle International has acquired French medical casting company ATS-Sferic, securing its position as the largest orthopedic implant provider in Europe, Marle announced Thursday.
Financial details of the transactions and expected closing date were not disclosed. A call to a Marle spokeswoman was not immediately returned Thursday.
Marle President Antonio Gil said in a statement that the acquisition will help the France-based manufacturer expand its orthopedic products business into new areas across Europe and develop new business lines.
