Vizio, Sears Sued Over Video Signal Processing Patents

Law360, New York (December 2, 2011, 3:51 PM EST) -- Semiconductor company Oplus Technologies Ltd. targeted Sears Holding Corp. and Vizio Inc. in Illinois federal court on Thursday, claiming several models of Vizio televisions infringe two patents related to video signal processing.

Israel-based Oplus, which used to be owned by Intel Corp, seeks damages as well as a permanent injunction barring the alleged infringement from continuing, according to the complaint.
