Law360, New York (December 02, 2011, 8:53 PM ET) -- Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. does not need to provide file-sharing site Hotfile Corp. with information about the studio's investigation into whether, as part of anti-piracy efforts, Warner deleted files from Hotfile for which the studio does not hold the copyright, a judge ruled Thursday.
In a brief order, Florida federal Magistrate Judge William C. Turnoff denied Hotfile's motion to compel discovery about the investigation, which Warner argued is protected work product.
