Law360, New York (December 02, 2011, 2:04 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Friday that it will open an investigation into Internet technology company VirnetX Inc.’s claims that Apple Inc. has infringed its patent for secure Internet communication technology by importing devices like the iPhone and iPad.
Zephyr Cove, Nev.-based VirnetX brought the complaint to the ITC on Nov. 4, alleging Apple's imports violate Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
