Law360, New York (December 02, 2011, 2:09 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission voted Friday to move ahead with an investigation into whether China's solar energy sector has received illegal government subsidies and dumped its products on the U.S. market.
The ITC voted 6-0 to probe the claims of seven U.S. solar equipment manufacturers, led by SolarWorld Industries America Inc., who allege that Chinese companies have flooded the U.S. market with crystalline silicon solar cells at dumping margins well in excess of 100 percent.
