Law360, New York (December 02, 2011, 6:16 PM ET) -- Colgate-Palmolive Co. was hit with another class action Friday alleging it lied to consumers about the germ-killing power of its Softsoap anti-bacterial hand soaps.

Through an “extensive and comprehensive marketing campaign,” Colgate has touted its Softsoap products as “clinically proven to eliminate 99 percent of germs that your family encounters,” and claims that the product is “America's most trusted [anti-bacterial] hand soap,” according to the complaint in New Jersey federal court.
